Main Function of the Role
TMHCC is seeking an Enterprise Portfolio Manager to join our Enterprise Change team.
This team is responsible for maturing change prioritisation, planning and delivery within TMHCC International. Enterprise Change sets standards to drive repeatability and consistency, whilst enabling change to happen at a local level through federated change and product teams. At the same time it is the conduit for understanding change coming into the business from our Corporate relationship and ensuring alignment across the business for successful implementation.
The team are accountable for Enterprise Change projects, those being the largest, most complex projects that typically span more than one business area (such as regulation change) or enable those teams without local change capability to deliver change.
This role will be reporting into the Head of Enterprise Change, working alongside practice leads for project management, business analysis and change management, you will be working to drive the capability and capacity for well delivered change within a world class business.
This role is crucial towards the success of the delivery of change, supporting the development and maturity of the growing change function and providing clear guidelines and governance to enable change across the organisation.
Responsibilities
* Change Visibility and Tracking: Drive the approach and maturity to build the view on change delivered through both Project and Product teams
* Future Portfolio Roadmap Owning the overall view of change across TMHCC to include both projects and product roadmaps, improving planning and capacity management
* Portfolio Management Best Practice : Establish and enforce Portfolio standards, and governance processes across the business to ensure consistency and compliance, working with practice leaders in change and across TMHCC to drive adoption
* Key Governance Forums and Reporting: Facilitation of the change board and its subcommittees, internal business reviews: including production/curation of high quality materials to inform decision making at C-Suite Executive level. Covers health and tracking, metrics, investment recommendation informed by business case and do-ability
* Resource and Capacity Management: Develop the strategic and tactical approach to understand demand, supply and capacity management including change and IT resources, partners and outsourcing, contractor and SME’s within the business
* Risk Management : Identify and mitigate portfolio risks by implementing robust risk management processes and proactively addressing issues, rolling up insight from project level risks
* Business Case and Prioritisation: Develop the approach that ensures change is aligned with Corporate and International Strategy, ensure rigour on our must do, should do and could do change activities including robust business cases that detail outcomes and benefits. Enable local decision making through communication of business priorities and alignment across teams
* Regular Project Performance Monitoring: Implement performance metrics and reporting mechanisms to track project progress, ensuring timely and accurate tracking and insight to leadership.
* Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the PMO, optimising project delivery processes and increasing overall efficiency.
* Talent Development: Build, develop and mentor a high-performing PMO team, fostering a culture of learning and development.
* Technology Integration: Explore tools and technologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the PMO.
Person Specification
* Experience in a senior PMO role, planning and resourcing function
* Demonstrable business change delivery experience, including agile and product methodology
* Demonstrable influence through engagement with stakeholders at all levels, across business and functions to deliver against defined objectives
* Driven to deliver value through PMO providing a service, with a view on improving the internal customer experience
* Confidence to navigate ambiguity and make decisions informed by data
* Ability to manage people and build effective teams
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to vary approach and so ensure that the method of communicating any message is tailored to the intended audience
