Job Description
The Head of Financial Reporting will be responsible for the following:
* Key responsibilities:
* Key audit contact
* Responsible for year end / interim reporting including production of annual report and accounts
* Production of management papers on key judgements including going concern, annual impairment reviews, adjusting items, acquisition accounting, accounting for financing transactions
* Production of impairment review calculations - intangibles, investments and intercompany impairments
* Accounting for group restructuring activities including trade and asset transfers
* Lead on activity following M&A activity
* Part of integration team of new acquisitions
* Understanding implications on the group of changes to and new accounting standards
* Review of monthly group consolidation
* Oversee production of UK subsidiary statutory accounts
* Bank reporting
* Ad hoc project work
The Successful Applicant
The successful Head of Financial Reporting should have:
* Professional finance qualification - ACA/ACCA/CIMA
* Proven experience in a financial reporting role within the business services/building and construction/IT industry ideal
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team.
* Excellent knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulations
* Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
This role would ideally suit an experienced Senior Audit Manager making their first move into industry, alternatively a practice-trained financial reporting professional looking for a new challenge.
What's on Offer
