About usecure usecure is a fast-growing, UK based technology scale-up with a mission to make cybersecurity awareness programmes accessible to all organisations. Our software is designed to minimise the level of employee vulnerability to cybersecurity threats through continual improvement and monitoring. We have established a worldwide client base, and are seeking a German-speaking Account Manager to help accelerate our global growth.
What's the Role?
You will be part of our team covering the UK, NAM & EMEA but will have a key focus on growing our presence in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). As the first Account Manager covering the territory, it’s a great opportunity to build and shape our presence in the region over time whilst also supplementing our well-established territories.
This role will involve a mix of working with existing distribution partners and Managed Service Providers (MSPs), handling inbound leads, and identifying and engaging with key prospects. The key objective will be to drive our channel growth: we’ve built an extensive network of MSPs, so your role will be to ensure we can continue to scale our client base through these routes and identify growth opportunities with partners we don’t currently engage with, particularly in DACH.
This is a full sales cycle, so you’ll be working closely with your partners right from their first engagement through to helping them to onboard as many clients as possible. Crucial to the role is your ability to demonstrate the software and conduct effective follow ups, allowing you to build strong commercial relationships over an extended period with your partner base.
Over time you may be expected to attend relevant industry events. This is a great opportunity to network, generate leads, develop new skills and improve your understanding of both the industry and client base.
The usecure system is already translated into German. Part of the role will be to review and improve these existing translations, ensure timely and accurate translation of software updates and relevant marketing materials, and help to identify any territory specific content requirements. This will be particularly important in the early stages of the role to ensure the system is fully ready for expansion in the region.
We have a long track record of helping employees succeed, and our company structure makes it easy for you to feel part of the company journey whilst making the role your own. This is a great opportunity to join an established company that has a significant presence globally but is in a relatively early stage of growth in DACH, meaning you’re well positioned to benefit from the existing momentum in the organisation and opportunity for professional progression internally. You can have a real, tangible impact on our growth both globally and in territory.
Key Skills & Experience
Fluent in German and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages. Additional languages are a bonus.
Experience in sales or recruitment would be a good grounding for the role, but isn't essential. A suitable candidate will have clear examples of their ability to build and maintain working relationships, with excellent communication and organisation skills.
A successful candidate will be self-motivated, goal driven and demonstrate the ability to take the initiative to accelerate company growth. They will also need to demonstrate clear resilience in order to take on responsibility for growing usecure’s presence in the region, and an ability to build repeatable processes for success.
Knowledge of the cybersecurity and MSP / Reseller market is preferred, but not essential. Without this experience it’s important to have an aptitude for understanding and clearly explaining various technical terminology.
Key Responsibilities
Establish a target list of partners and clients in the DACH territory, and be proactive and creative in your outreach to generate and maintain professional partnerships.
Run product demonstrations and effectively follow up to maintain and grow your partner base across all regions (NAM, UK, DACH and EMEA).
Manage inbound leads.
Maintain translation of the software in German.
