Please be aware this is a Long Term Temporary post to start ASAP.
We are seeking a value-laden, enthusiastic, and dynamic Personal Advisor to work within Worcestershire County Council’s Care Leavers Service. You will support young people aged 17-24, placing them at the heart of your decision-making and will join a team with an abundance of knowledge and skills. As a Personal Advisor, you will be the allocated worker and key contact for your young people. You will provide practical, personal, and emotional support to ensure a successful transition to adulthood and promote independence, role modeling what a good corporate parent does. You will develop effective working relationships with young people and partner agencies and be the key professional for your young people.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Building reciprocally respectful relationships with young people.
2. Developing Pathway Plans in collaboration with your young people.
3. Keeping case records.
4. Completing visits to young people at home and in the community; always seeking to promote the best outcomes possible.
5. Attending meetings.
We are looking for someone who is flexible and adaptable in their practice, professionally curious, passionate about helping young people achieve their potential, and can work in line with corporate parenting principles. The Team is based at County Hall in Worcester and is part of Children's Services. Our Personal Advisors will work across Worcestershire and beyond; you will be expected to use your own vehicle to travel to visits. We are a flexible and supportive employer who promotes home-working alongside in-office days. There is variety in our work, and no two days look the same. If you join us, you can be confident of becoming part of a welcoming, supportive, and innovative team.
