Internal only: This post is available to staff who already work at the University. The Cambridge Festival shares the research of the University of Cambridge with the public. Now into our sixth year, we're looking for someone with a passion for public engagement and school events to help plan and deliver the school's activities at the Festival in 2026. This role is a Temporary Cover position and expected to last for 12 months. The role-holder will take particular responsibility to develop and deliver our schools programme for the Festival, alongside supporting our year-round University-wide activities. This is an exciting chance to engage with people both locally and globally, develop new activity strands and support researchers across the University to engage. They will also build and manage working relationships with key public engagement and informal educational providers, both internal and external to the University, providing information, advice and training where appropriate. On an ongoing basis, they will support the Festival Manager to deliver the Cambridge Festival, including the development of festival strategy, logistics, evaluation and health and safety protocols. The role is located in the central Public Engagement Team, part of the Research Office at the University of Cambridge. The expected working pattern is two full days, Tuesday and Thursday, however this can be discussed at interview.
