We’re looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team to assist in the maintenance of various train mechanical and electrical systems.
Responsibilities
* Carry out fault finding on various mechanical and electrical systems
* Carry out reactive maintenance on various mechanical and electrical systems
* Liaise with equipment manufacturers regarding fault finding and repairs
* Work closely with the Facilities Manager to prioritise repairs to reduce the impact on Production
* Must be able to work overtime when required, including weekends and bank holidays
* Adhere to all working procedures
* Advise the Facilities Manager of any defects identified and propose solutions
* Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement in all areas of the site
* Prioritise and manage own workload on a daily basis
* Ensure machine downtime is kept to a minimum
* Complete tasks and leave working areas clean and tidy
* Take care of all working property and handle it safely, ensuring it is returned to its proper location upon completion of works
* Be responsible for the quality of work undertaken, ensuring it meets required standards.
Your Experience
* Good standard of literacy and spoken English
* Good understanding of Health and Safety requirements
* Trained in fault finding techniques, root cause analysis, and team working
* Experience of maintenance within an industrial environment
* Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
* Flexible approach to constantly changing priorities
* Good communicator at all levels, able to work with people at all levels of the business
