Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

Role overview:
As a Maintenance Engineer within our client's business, you will maintain all manufacturing plant, equipment and facilities in good working order. You will improve equipment reliability by increasing the mean time between failure (MTBF) while reducing the mean time to repair (MTTR).
Main Duties:
* Carry out repairs to all types of plant and equipment in a safe and professional manner.
* Assist in the development of planned preventative maintenance schedules (PPM).
* Carry out PPM schedules as necessary and planned works orders as required.
* Assist visiting specialist engineers when necessary.
* Report breakdown root cause, equipment faults and concerns to line Manager.
* Perform troubleshooting to solve minor repair issues.
* Make full use of CMMS.
* Plan/prioritize workload to support production and ensure efficient use of working time.
* Assist in the meeting of daily production plan.
* Fill in job tickets/ CMMS on completion of work accurately and in a timely manner.
* Respond to maintenance requests for equipment faults, diagnose faults, repair, and return equipment to operational service.
* All work to be carried out operating in a safe and efficient manner (a process of dynamic risk assessments operated).
* Identify spares requirements, log usage and aid in control.
* Assist in the moving, installation and repositioning of machines and equipment.
* Conduct all communication in a professional, positive and clear manner.
* Work as part of the team, suggesting ways to continually improve in a creative and inspirational manner.
* Balance team and individual responsibilities, sharing expertise with others.
* Provide guidance and support to individuals to achieve personal aims.

* Work in compliance with the Health & Safety Policy to ensure hazards are identified, risk assessed, and controlled.
* Proactively manage personal health, safety, and wellbeing, as well as that of colleagues.
* Ensure a safe workplace environment without risk to safety.
* Perform duties in a manner that does not negatively affect the environment or waste materials unnecessarily.
* Protect the general security of the site and the people working in it.
* Ensure any process change or improvement complies with all relevant health and safety policies.
Position Requirements:
* Minimum C&G in Electrical and Mechanical.
* Food Industry background or transferable skills.
* Must have worked in a fast-moving environment.

Additional Responsibilities:
Personal Performance-
* Ensure line performance is optimized.
* Communicate all issues to team leader/shift Production Manager.
* Notify Maintenance and Production Managers immediately of service breakdowns.
* Notify Maintenance and Production Managers of any stoppages lasting one hour or more.
