The Role
Are you a highly motivated and detail-oriented FP&A/Business Analyst with exceptional Power BI and financial modelling skills? Join our dynamic FP&A team in the maritime transport division! In this critical role, you will analyse financial data, develop actionable insights, and support key decision-making processes. As the ideal candidate, you will bridge the gap between finance and operations, ensuring our financial strategies align seamlessly with our divisional goals.
Role Accountabilities
Financial Analysis & Reporting:
* Analyse financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
* Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and budgets.
* Provide insights on cost optimization and revenue growth specific to the maritime transport sector.
Financial modelling:
* Develop, maintain, and enhance current planning and forecasting models for the division where applicable.
Power BI Dashboard Development:
* Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards to visualize financial data effectively.
* Ensure real-time monitoring of KPIs related to fleet operations, fuel costs, freight rates, and other critical metrics.
* Integrate data from various systems (ERP, TMS, etc.) into Power BI for consolidated reporting.
Business Process Improvement:
* Identify inefficiencies in financial workflows and recommend process improvements.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices in financial planning and reporting.
Stakeholder Communication:
* Act as a liaison between divisional, product line and group finance and operations.
* Present insights and recommendations to senior management to drive strategic decisions.
Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience
Education & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
* Minimum 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, business analytics, or a related role.
* Experience in the maritime transport industry or logistics sector is a strong plus.
Technical Skills:
* Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including dashboard creation and DAX scripting.
* Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, advanced formulas, macros).
* Familiarity with ERP systems and financial software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics).
* Knowledge of data integration tools, Python or SQL is an advantage.
Soft Skills:
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
* High attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
