Reporting to the Head of Building Standards & Public Safety, and requiring to operate effectively in a dynamic environment, you will be responsible directly or through line management, with a fellow Group Manager, for the daily delivery of our expanding Building Standards service to support the operation of the Council and achieve the required outputs. You will be responsible for co-ordinating response to major events, incidents and cross-cutting issues.
We are looking for someone that brings a strong sense of customer service, excellent communication and leadership skills, a clear understanding of quality assurance and an appetite for delivery of development and continuous improvement.
You must be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a wider team and have proven managerial experience in delivering a quality Building Standards service. You will demonstrate your ability to plan, allocate and organise work to provide agreed service / standards and to manage a range of complex competing service and operational priorities.
