Project Location: Glasgow Experience in Data Centre, Pharmaceutical or Semi-Conductor Package Includes: Private Healthcare Pension Key Responsibilities Document Control: Manage tender document control for each bid, ensuring thorough analysis of drawings, specifications, tender addenda, and other documentation to identify required work elements for inclusion in the Bill of Quantities (BoQ). Organise and file finalised documentation in line with established filing structures for future reference. Quantification of Work: Proficient in using Cost X for estimation work, including both 2D and 5D applications. Pricing: Source quotations from local vendors and subcontractors, carefully reviewing for scope gaps and discrepancies before integrating accurate figures into the bid. Collaborate with the construction team to obtain cost-reflective rates and incorporate lessons learned from previous projects. Change Management: Stay updated on all tender addenda issued pre- and post-tender, analysing and documenting changes. Apply updated rates for revised tender submissions. Time Management: Exhibit exceptional time management skills to meet tight deadlines. The ability to efficiently prepare BoQs under time constraints is critical. Software Skills: Proficient in Cost X and Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Mentoring and Supporting Junior Staff: Provide guidance and training to junior staff members, fostering their development and competence. Qualifications Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying 5 years' experience in Quantity Surveying/Estimating role Data centre CSA commercial experience desirable. Competent in assessing Contract Documents and contract requirements Proven track record working on projects over €10-15m High level of competency in BQ preparation and pricing.
