About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Construction Project Manager to join one of clients, taking on a pivotal leadership role in delivering a large, high-profile construction project in Cardiff. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a landmark project that will shape the region’s future.
You will be responsible for overseeing a significant construction package, ensuring the successful delivery of project milestones within budget, schedule, and quality parameters. Reporting directly to the Project Director on-site, you will manage and coordinate a team of Site and Package Managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Key Responsibilities
* Project Leadership: Manage all aspects of the assigned construction package, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and budget.
* Team Management: Lead and oversee a team of Site Managers and Package Managers, providing direction, mentorship, and support to achieve project objectives.
* Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution and clear communication.
* Planning & Execution: Develop and manage detailed project schedules, resource plans, and risk management strategies.
* Quality Assurance: Uphold the highest standards of quality and safety, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
* Reporting: Regularly report on project progress, challenges, and opportunities to the Project Director and key stakeholders.
* Problem-Solving: Proactively address and resolve project challenges, ensuring minimal disruption to timelines and budgets.
Qualifications & Experience
* Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager on large-scale construction projects, preferably high-profile or complex developments.
* Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
* Excellent understanding of construction methods, health and safety regulations, and industry best practices.
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
* Proficiency in project management tools and software.
* Relevant academic qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
