Salary:
1. 16yrs – 17yrs: £7.56ph, 40 hours per week including time at college
2. Over 18yrs: £10.50ph, 42.5 hours per week including time at college
3. Over 21yrs: £11.44ph, 42.5 hours per week including time at college
Tools: Chromebook and uniform will be provided.

The Level 2 apprenticeship programme will take up to 15 months to complete.

What does a life as Facilities Maintenance look like?
FM services are core to our business, and we work closely with the other maintenance divisions. We have developed a highly successful partnering model to deliver innovative FM services to clients and end users from various sectors throughout the UK.
The apprenticeship course will cover the following:
1. Complying with relevant health, safety and environmental legislation (Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974).
2. Carrying out minor repairs and maintenance in accordance with SOPs.
3. Reporting issues and problems in accordance with SOPs.
4. Carrying out inspections of premises and facilities.
5. Ensuring communal areas meet required standards of cleanliness and presentation.
6. Providing support to the access management system in accordance with SOPs.
7. Collating FM and health and safety information as specified.
What do you need to be a successful applicant?
1. GCSEs in English and maths grade 4 or above.
2. The ability and desire to learn and develop a thorough knowledge of the skills, technology, and safety procedures.
3. You will live in the Cambridge area or within a radius of 40 miles.
4. You will be expected to get to Branch every day for 08:00am and make your own way home after finishing work.
5. Be able to establish and maintain good customer/client relationships.
6. Successful applicants are required to complete a basic Math & English test with the potential of a practical test at the interview stage.

To be considered for a Mears apprenticeship, all applicants must submit their CV and a Cover Letter detailing why you are interested in Mears Group and why you would like to be an apprentice.
The closing date for applications is 31/03/2024. Following this date, we will contact you to confirm if you have been selected for the next round, which would either be an invitation to an assessment centre or individual interviews.
