Bennett and Game is currently working a market leading structural steelwork contractor supplying structural steelwork packages to the construction industry for over 50 years. Due to retirement, the position of HSQE Manager has become available. The person will need to have proven experience working in the construction industry and will be competent with the following responsibilities.
As the HSEQ Manager you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing policies to ensure workplace safety, environmental compliance, and quality standards. You will conduct risk assessments, manage audits, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a culture of continuous improvement in health, safety, environmental protection, and quality assurance across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
* Directly report to the Managing Director on all HSQE matters.
* Develop and review Safe Systems of Work, including comprehensive risk assessments, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory standards for both our production facility and on-site operations.
* Provide oversight and guidance to our Quality Engineer, fostering high standards across all quality assurance activities.
* Conduct HSQE audits and inspections, lead investigations for all accidents, incidents, and near-miss events, and ensure effective follow-up actions.
* Manage and oversee the pre-qualification process with Achilles, Constructionline, and other customer pre-qualification databases.
* Conduct thorough pre-qualification assessments and audits of sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with HSQE standards.
* Prepare detailed reports on near-miss incidents and minor accidents, identifying areas for improvement.
* Ensure all employees receive adequate health and safety training, maintaining up-to-date training records and promoting a culture of safety and compliance.
HSQE Manager Job Requirements
* Minimum of Tech IOSH, but CMIOSH is preferred.
* 10 years of experience within a HSEQ role ideally in structural steel.
