We are seeking an enthusiastic, efficient and experienced administrative assistant to undertake a range of administrative duties. You will need good literacy, numeracy, keyboard and IT skills and be proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite. You will be able to build excellent relationships with staff and parents and families.
You will need to have the skills and experience to:
• Provide effective administrative support
• Liaisewith staff to ensure the safety of children
• Receive visitors and telephone enquiries to the school in accordance with standards and procedures required
• Be responsible for producing basic reports, information and data as requested
• Be able to use the school payment and communication tools effectively.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
DUTIES
Organisation
1. Undertake reception duties, answering routine telephone and face to face enquiries and signing in visitors
2. Assist with first aid/welfare duties, liaising with parents/staff etc in accordance with the school policy on administering drugs
3. Assisting with arrangements for visits by school nurse, photographer etc.
Administration
4. Provide routine clerical support e.g. photocopying, filing, emailing, completing routine forms
5. Maintain manual and computerised records/management information systems
6. Undertake typing, word-processing and other IT based tasks
7. Undertake routine administration tasks including on SIMs e.g. registers/school meals
8. Complete educational visit bookings
9. Undertake parental communications using school systems eg email, text messaging and website
Resources
10. Operate office equipment e.g. photocopier, computer
11. Arrange orderly and secure storage of supplies
12. Undertake routine financial administration e.g. use the school’s payment system to send out bookings and payments etc,

13. Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person
14. Be aware of and ensure equal opportunities for all
15. Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school
16. Appreciate and support the role of other professionals as appropriate
17. Attend and participate in relevant meetings as required
18. Participate in training and other learning activities and performance development as required
