From the moment you open the door and enter one of our services, you become something more than you once were.
You enter the place our young people call home, a place where a grin can make a young person’s day, where listening can not only save but shape a life. It’s a way to break barriers, unlock confidence, and demonstrate that you are here and that here is safe.
Our Residential Care Workers are fundamental to the development of the young people in our homes. There will be challenges along the way, but every forward step is a cause for celebration.
Our homes accommodate young people aged 8 to 18 from a variety of backgrounds and with varying levels of social, emotional, and mental health needs. Our aim is to create the best possible outcomes for them to reach their full potential.
Your Role:
You’ll make a genuine difference to our young people daily, ensuring minimum interruption to their lives and filling their days with meaningful interactions. Your day involves making sure they are up and ready for the day, whether that means preparing for school or a morning at the park, ensuring the service feels like “home.” This includes running the hoover, helping with homework, or preparing dinner. Evenings and weekends are for fun, whether that’s playing videogames, board games, or a trip to see a movie.
Yes, there is paperwork and planning, but supporting our young people is never boring. The days may be long, but time flies, and the work really matters.
How We Appreciate You:
To kick things off, we offer the best induction in the sector with two weeks of content delivered by experts face to face. We will also fund NVQ 3-4-5 if you show the capability and desire.
