Salary Range: £46,140 - £51,445 per annum
Work Location: Hybrid working (home and local office based – currently Havant, Totton, Basingstoke, Eastleigh or Winchester)
Hours per week: 37 (part-time hours may be considered)

The Role:
Join our Younger Adults Commissioning Team within Adults’ Health and Care as a Commissioning Officer and play a key role in assisting with the development of Supported Accommodation practices for Hampshire. Our team supports and enables younger adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and mental health conditions, to live as independent lives as possible with the required support.
The current process for managing the Supported Accommodation in Hampshire is being reviewed and we’re looking to identify opportunities to enhance and develop this process. Your Commissioning Officer role will be central to this improvement.

You’ll have a good understanding of social care and the associated financial and economic challenges. You’ll use your experience of service design and development gained in a social care context, and your quality and monitoring experience to develop service requirements and implementation plans. Your excellent IT skills including Excel will enable you to develop the IT system that supports the Supported Accommodation process as well as the ongoing operation of the current system.
Using your excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills, you’ll build successful, trust-based relationships with multiple stakeholders including our Case Management Teams and our Care and Housing Providers, ensuring we’re working together in the most effective way and implementing changes for the benefit of our residents.
You may also be required to support other Commissioning activities carried out within the Team such as supporting procurement activity and contract monitoring.

Travel Requirements:
You may be required to visit other locations within Hampshire and therefore need to have the ability to travel, as necessary.
