Job Description
We've an exciting opportunity for a proactive and self-motivated Finance Accountant to join us here at AXA Health, on a 12 month fixed term contract. Collaborating closely with teams across our Finance department, you'll be responsible for the development of new processes, reporting, and controls, to ensure an improved and accurate delivery of our audit.
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. We're also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.
What you'll be doing:
* Working collaboratively across departments, including IT, to resolve issues or drive changes where necessary.
* Resolving outstanding reconciliation issues and documenting changes, clearly communicating if issues are identified and what the potential resolutions might be.
* Extracting, manipulating, and analysing large volumes of business and customer data.
* Streamlining and identifying improvements to our audit processes and implementing them, including embedding them back into the team.
* Communicating progress through regular reporting.
* Managing stakeholder expectations.
What you'll bring:
* Part qualified/qualified accountant, with strong relevant analytical experience. ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualification would be desirable but not essential.
* Experience of reconciliations and working with large data sets.
* Knowledge and experience around the implementation of new processes and controls.
* Insurance accounting knowledge preferable.
* Good interpersonal and communication skills, paying close attention to detail.
* Proficient Microsoft Excel skills, with some knowledge around SAP.
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
