About the Role:
We are seeking a talented and experienced EC&I Designer/Engineer to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing technical drawings and documents essential for the successful implementation of electrical, control, and instrumentation systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create block cable diagrams to outline electrical connections and layouts.
* Develop single line diagrams depicting power distribution systems.
* Create control system sequence drawings to illustrate operational sequences.
* Design general arrangements for equipment and instrumentation placement.
* Develop panel designs for control panels and distribution boards.
* Compile instrument datasheets detailing specifications and requirements.
* Ensure compliance with 61508 Suite of Drawings adhering to electrical safety standards.
* Specify EC&I systems and components.
* Implement electrical power distribution systems for efficiency and safety.
* Design control systems for process automation and optimization.
* Source instruments to meet functional and performance requirements.
Requirements:
* Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or related field.
* Experience in EC&I design, preferably in industrial or manufacturing environments.
* Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) for technical drawings.
* Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, including electrical safety standards.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
* Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
* Detailed and accurate work.
* Knowledge of PLC programming and SCADA systems is a plus.
