Who You Are As a Fleet Mechanic for Heavy and Light Goods Vehicles, you are a dedicated professional with at least a Level 3 qualification in the Maintenance, Repair, Testing, and Inspection of HGVs. You bring a minimum of 12 months post-qualification experience, specializing in roadworthiness and MOT testing for LGVs and HGVs. A Class C or CE driving license is a prerequisite, alongside an up-to-date periodic CPC and digi tachograph card, or a promise to obtain them within 12 months. Your skill set includes expertise in Health and Safety, a firm grasp on CPC management, and knowledge of regulations like PUWER and LOLER. You excel in assessing and repairing electrical vehicles with safety in mind, using diagnostic tools effectively, and managing stock control systems. You're adept at working both independently and in a team, maintaining a 'can do' attitude. Meeting deadlines in dynamic environments is your forte. Bilingual fluency in English and Welsh is advantageous, enriching your ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and management. What the Job Involves Your role involves maintaining and repairing fleet vehicles to DVSA standards and Operator's Licence compliance. Working on shifts, you'll attend breakdowns and repairs across Conwy County, uphold quality systems, and use diagnostic equipment proficiently.
