About the role: As a Controller /Planner you will be providing a vital service as a liaison between our ambulance control centre, our operational staff, patients and Health Care Professionals. Duties include: Planning and controlling of daily ambulance journeys transporting medically eligible patients to and from NHS healthcare facilities. Controlling a complex operation consisting of over 150 ambulances delivering 1000 patient journeys per day. To be considered as Controller, you will need to be: Good telephone manner Be customer service focused and able to effectively handle sensitive situations Have a good geographic knowledge of the areas Be able to stay calm under pressure Ability to take initiative Working effectively as a part of the team Experience working in a similar transport control/dispatcher environment would be beneficial however, full training is provided for this role.
