College Information Systems Executive (Maternity Cover)
UWCSEA Dover has a vacancy for a College Information Systems Executive to cover a maternity leave from April 2025 until August 2025.
Reporting to the College Information Systems Manager, the incumbent will provide robust and efficient information systems to support any and all aspects of the College’s operation.
Main Responsibilities
1. Assist in the maintenance of an accurate central information database using the College Information Management System.
2. Assist in the effective and proper use of the College information systems by all School Secretaries.
3. Manage the College’s IT Support operation by liaising with end users and resolving level 1 issues, escalating to level 2 when necessary.
4. Assist School Secretaries in the proper usage of college administrative processes, such as the creation of parent evening schedules, and enter data into the management information systems.
5. Assist School Secretaries in data input and produce materials needed for timetable information to students on the first day of the academic year.
6. Assist in the creation and maintenance of various online College systems, including the College’s Active Directory (AD), the College Information Management System (CIMS), Google Apps, learning platform, reporting and assessment, and website community portal.
7. Assist the College Information Systems Manager in generating Excel spreadsheets for data analysis.
8. Provide user guides and documentation for College Information systems.
9. Act as level 1 support for College systems.
Person Specifications
1. Minimum Diploma/Professional certificates in Information Technology, Management Information System, Mathematics, or equivalent; at least 2 years of experience in similar positions, preferably in a fast-paced working environment.
2. Proficient level communicator, able to effectively liaise with all levels of staff and work independently as well as in a team.
3. A passion for the use of technology to support administrative functions in an educational environment.
4. Good self-management and prioritizing skills.
5. Positive work attitude and a high level of integrity and compassion are essential.
6. Good organizational, cultural sensitivity, and problem-solving skills.
7. Proficiency in Excel and other common data manipulation programs (Microsoft Office applications, Mac office applications). Competency in third-party, cloud-based services such as Google Apps (G Suite for Education) is required.
8. Competency in other educational support application administration will be an added advantage.
