Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to undertake the role of Leadership Development Trainer. This is a challenging role that requires the successful candidate to design and deliver a range of leadership training including promotion framework courses to newly promoted Sergeants and Inspectors and civilian equivalents, as well as a variety of other courses covering general leadership techniques, organisational procedures, and operational policing skills.
The successful candidate will also provide training skills via an existing college of policing course to newly appointed police trainers.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design and deliver classroom-based leadership training.
2. Provide training to newly appointed police trainers.
3. Present to large classes and liaise with guest speakers.
4. Arrange training schedules and manage administrative tasks.
5. Utilise Microsoft Office products for training materials.
Minimum Requirements
Experience in the design and delivery of classroom-based training is essential. Good verbal and written communication skills are required. A knowledge of working within an operational policing role or a relevant qualification in policing is essential. A level 4 CET qualification is the minimum training requirement for this role.
Training Situational Assessment
* Candidates will be assessed on their ability to produce a short 10-minute example training input, followed by a 5-minute opportunity for questions from the audience.
* The assessment will focus on the candidate's ability to structure the training input effectively.
Essex Police offers incremental increases within this salary band, therefore the salary for this position will rise to a maximum of £37,692.00.
