Job Description
Farrer Barnes Limited is seeking a seasoned School Business Manager to join their team on a long-term interim basis. This role will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to drive the non-teaching aspects of a school, including finance, administration, premises, and HR requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the financial management of the school, including budget planning, monitoring, and reporting.
* Manage all aspects of the school's administrative and support functions, ensuring smooth operations on a day-to-day basis.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
* Lead and manage a team of administrative staff, providing guidance and support as required.
* Develop and implement efficient administrative systems and processes to enhance the effectiveness of the school's operations.
* Work closely with the leadership team to contribute to the strategic planning and decision-making processes.
* Collaborate with external stakeholders, including suppliers, contractors, and local authorities, to ensure effective procurement and contract management.
* Oversee the management of the school's premises and facilities.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a similar school business manager role and appreciate the support of a central team in a wider Trust, while still retaining day-to-day autonomy. Hybrid working opportunities will be available with this role, with additional flexibility over school holiday periods.
