Job summary Are you a qualified ACCP/ soon to be qualified ACCP you need to be registered with the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine (FICM) with a passion for Critical Care? As an ACCP you will work on the resident medical rota 24/7 in the adult ICU's at UHBW in both general ICU and Cardiac ICU at the Bristol site and in ICU at our Weston site. There is no better time to join the Critical Care ACCP Team at UHBW, expansion of Critical Care services has now been completed and we now run 60 critical care beds in the three ICU's. We also have established the new Bristol ECMO service on the Bristol site. We see ACCP's as integral to the development of our MDT and as such provide a friendly supportive environment with a dedicated Consultant supervisor and Lead ACCP support you will be encouraged to develop and support quality improvement in Critical Care services at UHBW. Trainee ACCP's due to qualify post PgDip in the next 5 months would also be considered for this post all candidates must have trained in a FICM recognised HEI. Main duties of the job The Critical Care Team at UHBW care for patients from a diverse selection of specialities across the South West region being a tertiary referral centre for Cardiac Surgery. Cardiology, Thoracic, ENT, GI Surgery, Oncology and now ECMO. The ACCP team is expanding with 7 qualified ACCP's and 5 trainees we are part of a friendly MDT team here at UHBW who are very welcoming of new staff. Adult services at UHBW on the Bristol site include the BRI, BHI, the Oncology Centre, St Michael's maternity Hospital and Bristol Eye Hospital.
