Responsibilities
1. Business owner for Finance technology stack
2. Own the finance technology stack
3. Provide technical input into all business & finance initiatives
4. Be the point of contact for system providers and manage the relationship with Oracle and other parties, as required
5. Ensure technology is available to all
6. Own the relationship with external support providers and ensure appropriate levels of service & performance
7. Manage the delivery of Oracle support (SRs) through critically assessing business needs and ensuring appropriate prioritisation
8. Deliver the successful upgrade of all finance platforms and integrations between systems
9. Own the relationship between Cloudbridge integration middleware and Oracle, ensuring all interfaces are executed effectively
10. Ensure system environments are available in line with SLA
11. Ensure TEST & DEV environments reflect the PROD environment per good practice
12. Manage an appropriate governance and maintain user access to the finance systems in line with approved licences
13. Manage the finance team’s system super-users to ensure a joined-up approach across the key system architecture and a smooth delivery of month-end and other reporting responsibilities
14. Be responsible for the performance of systems used in delivering the required internal, external (both statutory and regulatory) reporting
15. Develop and lead an effective governance over data management
16. Develop and implement an effective data input process
17. Develop an archive policy and implement in accordance
18. Agree and execute a system backup policy
19. Ensure business requirements are effectively provided
20. Review new functionality and provide input to continuous improvement
21. Lead the data migration, integration and technical cutover activities of all projects that require changes/additions to the finance technology stack
22. Create data migration strategies, high level and detailed data migration plans; manage design, development, testing and delivery of data migration
23. Lead on integration strategies; manage design, development, testing and delivery of the development and integrity of the integration layer
24. Manage cutover execution and deployment to live systems
25. Include direct and indirect budget management; responsible for recommending systems and support spend within the wider finance budget
Qualifications
1. Extensive experience in owning IT/finance systems and working with stakeholders across all of finance
2. Oracle system knowledge, specifically ERP and EPM suite
3. Proactive and can work independently and effectively
4. Seek improvements, motivated by changes/improvements, role model
5. Business English language
6. Team player, like to cooperate with other parts of the business
7. Some travel could be required
8. Financial services knowledge
9. Other system knowledge: Coupa, Bellin
This large group that has enjoyed rapid expansion over the last 10 years is going through a major integration project covering key finance and accounting-related processes. The Record to Report, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable teams use a suite of systems, primarily Oracle, Coupa, and Bellin software. The current system architecture was recently designed as part of a Finance Transformation project and is relatively new to the business.
The organisation is looking for a Group IT/Finance Systems Manager to join their team in a hybrid role in their offices, based in Leeds. They enjoy an office location that is great for the M1 and M62, which includes a fully serviced grade A office with a gym, picnic areas, and restaurant facilities on site, including free parking.
