Senior Quantity Surveyor

My client is a reputable contractor that has won several schemes within the Manchester region. Due to this increase in contract wins, they require a lead Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on a £30m+ new build high-rise residential scheme. The contractor is well established and has an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality BTR residential developments. They have a fantastic forward pipeline of work in the Manchester region.
The successful candidate will have proven New Build/Construction experience working for a main contractor on project values ranging from £10 million to £50 million, with any high-rise residential projects worked on in the past being of strong advantage. You will have experience working as a senior QS on a large scheme.
The ideal individual will be qualified to a minimum of HNC level in Quantity Surveying.
Duties will include:
1. Monthly Valuations
2. Preparing Bills of Quantities
3. Carrying out Take Offs
4. Monitor material and labour costs
5. Advise on commercial and contractual issues as instructed
6. Communicate with project staff and sub-contractors regularly to ensure all commercial procedures are in place
Individual Requirements:
1. Qualified to a minimum of HNC in Quantity Surveying
2. Minimum 10 years' experience in Quantity Surveying
3. Degree qualified in a relevant area desirable
4. Previous experience working for a main contractor ideally on high-rise residential schemes
The successful candidate will be proactive and work on their own initiative, leading the Surveying team on this prestigious project. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to develop within a well-established contractor.
