We are proud of our world-famous thriving city with its rich culture, affordable housing, stunning waterfront, and our beautiful green spaces – there’s really something for everyone The role: An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Children and Young People’s Services as we integrate our SEND and Alternative Provision Services, enabling a holistic understanding of and response to children and young people’s needs As a Business Support Officer, you will be a key player by providing administrative support to the Sensory Service and drive the city’s response to meeting the needs of Sensory Impaired children across Early Years primary and secondary education, working closely with families, educational settings and the team to ensure a seamless and timely response to children and young people’s needs You will work as part of a team that includes two Operational Leaders (HI and VI), a team of Teachers of the Deaf (ToD), Qualified teachers of the visually Impaired (QTVI) and Support staff Reporting directly to the Operational Leaders (HI, VI), you will contribute significantly to supporting our mission of providing quality education to every child and young person, irrespective of their background or challenges they may face and will work with colleagues to be the first point of contact for referrals As this is a term time only contract the salary will be reflective of this.
