We provide a job plan that balances a varied caseload of Hand Therapy patients with personal development opportunities. These include involvement in research, clinical leadership, supervision and education.
It is desirable that candidates have broad Hand Therapy skills and be interested in personal and service development.
As an organisation, we are known for supporting personal development, post-graduate education, including MSc level courses.
Main duties of the job
To support leadership and work within the Hand Therapy Occupational Therapy team in Outpatients, providing an effective and evidence-based service through assessing, planning and implementing treatment programmes.
To deliver therapeutic intervention, acting as a specialist clinician in Hand Therapy, by using the principles of Occupational Therapy in an integrated and client-centred way.
To assume responsibility for personal development and supporting the development and supervision of others by CPD (continuing professional development), linked to appraisal.
To support evaluation and service development in the clinical area in line with national and local drivers.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
