Your Role: Head of Night Operations As Head of Night Operations you’ll lead, inspire, and drive performance on operational activities across all of the TfL environments at night. In collaboration with key stakeholders you would be a strategic and operational lead supporting our employed and contracted night operations teams working in safety critical environments on the TfL estate which, will enable us to achieve delivery of our clients’ campaigns, safely and efficiently to the correct place and on time; ensure fulfilment of our contractual obligations with TfL, manage performance targets and minimise unnecessary spend. You’ll influence and support our employed and contracted night operations teams, ensuring operational excellence in line with our S.E.R.V.I.C.E. framework. You’ll be best in class at providing positive, effective direction to our in-house and contractor teams creating highly motivated, productive and engaged teams who are motived to deliver Service Excellence. As a Head of Night Operations at Global, your key responsibilities are ; Strategic and Operational Leadership (30%) Lead, influence and support diverse, dispersed employed and contracted night operations teams, ensuring high levels of motivation, engagement, and continuous delivery of Operational Excellence. Champion a culture aligned with Global’s values, wellbeing, and continuous improvement programs. Operational Excellence & Compliance (40%) Deliver safe, efficient, and timely campaign deployment. Proactively manage safety-critical activities with full adherence to the TfL contract, policies ( QUENSH) and Global’s safety and S.E.R.V.I.C.E. frameworks – including fault management, compliance & safety documentation, technology and digital compliance reporting. Performance & Team Development (20%) Monitor and drive productivity, reduce underperformance, absenteeism and build capability through structured coaching, training, and development planning. Lead structured 1-2-1s and engage teams in high-performance culture initiatives. Stakeholder & Partner Collaboration (10%) Foster positive relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners (TfL, Planning and Compliance, Safety and Compliance, Poster Prep, Transport Fulfilment), ensuring operational alignment and shared goals across all night operations. Compliance Confidence: Deep understanding of regulatory, contractual and safety protocols (especially within TfL or similar environments). Digital & Data Savvy: Comfortable using workplace technology and performance data to drive operational improvement. Stakeholder Skills: Exceptional communicator, capable of working across internal teams and external stakeholders at pace.
