Northwood is currently accepting applications for an Food Service Worker (FSW) for our Bedford location.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum Grade 12 academic or equivalent
2. Two to three years food service work experience in a long-term health care, hospital, hotel, or restaurant facility.
3. Completion of any of the following: Basic Food Safety Certification, Food Service Workers Course or equivalent, Basic Food Preparation or equivalent
4. Experience working with the elderly within a decentralized meal service environment that provided the basic principles and concepts used in all functional areas of a food service operation.
5. Knowledge of food safety, safe food handling and cleaning and sanitizing practices.
6. Must be able to prioritize work, follow oral/written instructions and maintain established resident/client service standards.
7. Must be of sound physical well-being (able to lift 50 lbs at a time), in good general health and able to endure the day-to-day pressures of the position.
8. Must be able to maintain regular and consistent attendance in accordance with the Northwood corporate standard.

Responsibilities: As per the Food Services Worker Job Description

Hours of Work: 32 hours bi-weekly (8 hours shifts) - Days/Evenings 11am-7pm
