North East – Community Based Role
Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hpw)
Salary £30,000k negotiable depending on skills and experience, plus great benefits including Health Cash Plan!
Home, a place where you belong!
We have a great job opportunity for you to join our Leasehold team as part of the wider Operations function. As a Leasehold Property Manager, you’ll report to the Leasehold Operations Manager and be part of a team of 4 Leasehold Property Managers across the North East and North West regions.
We are on a mission to drive improvements in leasehold customer satisfaction, and you’ll have a unique opportunity to drive forward our plans across your allocated portfolio of Leasehold retirement and 100% leasehold schemes.
You’ll act as the face of Home Group, a frontline presence for your allocated schemes, who understand the leasehold customer group and their needs, and the service offer and lease obligations.
Typical day as a Leasehold Property Manager
* You’ll be responsible for a small portfolio of approx. 12 100% Leasehold and Leasehold Retirement schemes across Newcastle, Northumberland and South Tyneside.
* You’ll manage your own workload across the following key activities:
* Arrears
* Anti-Social Behaviour
* Estate Inspections including working with our garden maintenance and cleaning teams
* Complaints
* Safeguarding
We need you to be able to work with and engage customers both on a one-to-one basis and to facilitate wider scheme meetings (with resident associations if they have them in place).
Colleague collaboration is key - in particular, you’ll work with maintenance colleagues and the wider leasehold team to ensure the scheme is compliant, has an effective planned maintenance programme in place and the scheme service charge accounts are accurate and transparent for our customers.
Your overall mission is to improve the leasehold customer experience with Home Group.
Fancy going home each day knowing that you have helped change our customers' lives for the better? You’ll do that here, working for a Top 10 Great Place to Work in the UK!
You have
* A passion for doing a great job and exceeding customer expectations. Lots of energy, resilience and a can-do attitude required!
* You’ll be able to demonstrate a strong focus on delivering for our customers and a commitment to seeing complex issues through to resolution.
* Collaboration is key - you’ll be great at influencing others to understand your goals and priorities, so success is achieved together.
* Experience of working with customers in a housing setting whether that be rented, supported or leasehold.
* Whilst not essential, it would be great if you had qualifications in TPI (previously known as IRPM) RICS, or other relevant housing/property management certificates.
* To get from A to B, you’ll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we’ll pay your mileage!
Our team
You’ll join our Leasehold team, we’re super passionate about what we do! We’re really proud of the work we have done over the past 2 years while we’ve been in post and the impact we’ve had on our customers. We only want to get better and are a supportive bunch so would love you to join us on the journey.
You will also be joining a positive culture as the current leasehold team not only scored us a fabulous 94% in the most recent great place to work survey, but they also enjoy working in a fun and encouraging environment.
Job details
* This is a community based role which means you’ll spend most of your time working out and about in the community with our customers and the rest of the time split between home and the office with the wider team in training or team meetings. Where our customers need us is where you will be!
* You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
