This is a permanent role based in London. As Area Sales Manager, you will be Reporting to the National Sales Manager with the main duties and responsibilities being to develop the business sales area in line with the company goals and any targets. To operate within the guidelines of the brands processes, to ensure mutual achievement of budgeted sales turnover and gross margins. Through the distribution network which includes independent accounts, wholesale, and group national accounts, among others.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all business activities within the assigned territory, focusing on the growth and development of paint, woodcare, sundries, and specialty product lines across designated accounts.Achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with business objectives and requirements.Set and utilize S.M.A.R.T. (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) objectives daily to drive performance.Meet budgetary targets while maintaining profit margins.Drive revenue growth in the assigned area to meet or exceed company expectations.Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, particularly within major accounts.Negotiate and collaborate on business strategies and plans with customers throughout the territory.Provide timely reports and insights on market trends, customer feedback, and other findings as required.Regularly analyze account data, preparing and presenting insights to both clients and internal stakeholders.Deliver localized account presentations tailored to customer needs.Record all sales activities and interactions using the company’s CRM system.Participate in trade shows and industry exhibitions as needed to promote products and build relationships.Manage and implement brand point-of-sale (POS) materials across the territory.Drive the introduction and sell-through of new products and promotional campaigns.Manage project timelines and ensure business objectives are met within set deadlines.Uphold a professional image, representing both the company and yourself with integrity and expertise.Build strong communication channels with trade end-users to foster long-term partnerships.What are we looking for?Proven experience in selling FMCG, consumer durables, or DIY products.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.A highly motivated self-starter with a proactive approach to tasks.Strong decision-making skills, operating within company guidelines.Exceptional time management and prioritization abilities.Demonstrates initiative, teamwork, analytical thinking, and numeracy skills.Excellent attention to detail in both communication and data management.Competitive salary + benefits.Please contact Lewis Millican for further information.
