Assistant Site Manager - Manchester We are seeking an organized, proactive, and dedicated Assistant Site Manager to join client, a leading housing provider. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Site Manager in overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and tradespeople, ensuring work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations. Monitor project progress and report any delays or issues to the Site Manager. Ensure all site documentation is up to date, including daily reports, site records, and risk assessments. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to project specifications and quality standards. Assist in managing site logistics and materials, ensuring that materials are available and delivered on time. Collaborate with project stakeholders, including internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers. Promote a strong culture of safety on site, ensuring safe working practices are always followed. Support in managing the project’s progress, reporting on key milestones and addressing any challenges that arise. Skills and Experience: Previous experience in construction or a similar site management role is essential. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and site management practices. Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with subcontractors, clients, and internal teams. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize work. Problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet when issues arise. A proactive and adaptable attitude with a strong desire to learn and develop in the role. Qualifications: A construction-related qualification (e.g., HNC, HND, or similar) is preferred but not essential. CSCS card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) is essential.
