Description Kinetic Adventure, Claydon IP6 0AJ Salary negotiable 22 – 24 hours per week, 50 weeks per year Permanent Reference: 0847 You will be running a busy Discovery Centre and Outreach programme with the support and help of a friendly group of staff and team members. This is based at the main office and will involve supporting school visits, families and groups visiting the centre and events that we arrange in schools and venues. The role is varied and interesting and will involve face to face contact with customers (mainly children) as well as being a point of contact for enquiries. The day to day work will include finance, marketing, sales and property maintenance as well as staff welfare. You will be caring for your team as well as making sure that all visitors have a good experience. Working as part of a team and working independently being based in Claydon your role is to ensure the Discovery centre is a “wow” factor for all visiting for the right reasons. The delivering of events and activities will be programmed and arranged by you and delivered by your team. We are a fun, exciting and bubbly team who love working with children and teachers. You will be willing to learn and deliver a quality experience for our customers. No two days will be the same and it is a chance to be methodical, precise and creative all in one role You will: have good communication skills, caring and respectful of each individual child and willing to make sure every child is safe, having fun and cared for be willing to learn software packages and run the day to day workings of the Discovery centre. Have experience is not necessary as there will be inhouse training by the current CEO (who is retiring) and so you can learn at your pace with the support of others.
