We have a post available within our Urology Department, based at the Freeman Hospital, which is available ASAP until 1 April 2025.
You will be responsible, with the support of your seniors, for the day-to-day care of in-patients, including clerking, examination and maintenance of records, and primary care of emergency admissions. You must be able to work as a committed multidisciplinary team member and be able to prioritise your workload.
Candidates must possess full GMC registration with a license to practice at time of application. Previous paid NHS experience is essential.

• Clinical history and examination
• Diagnostic testing
• Formulating and implementing management plans for patients within sphere of competence in both acute and long-term situations
• Clinical procedures e.g. blood gases
• Responsibility for effective communication with other members of the clinical team to ensure the planned management for each patient is carried out
• Communication with patients and their relatives
• Arrange investigations for patients and ensure results available in a timely manner
• Undertake referrals to other clinical teams and ensure effective communication of the underlying problem
• Undertake a key role in planning and implementing effective discharge, including any communication with the relevant community care team
• Participate in teaching of undergraduate students from all the heath care professions
• Ensure medical students have opportunity to meet their own learning outcomes
