I work with the Local Authorities, to support young people who are unable to access mainstream school. This could be for a variety of reasons such as: SEN and SEMH needs, medical reasons, if they are school refusers, or if they have challenging behaviour.
I am looking for 1:1 tutors in Northampton, and the surrounding areas who are wanting to make a positive impact on a young person’s learning; helping them to bridge gaps in their understanding, create an excellent working relationship with them, encouraging them to be confident, so that we can help them to reengage with a mainstream school setting.
Our ideal tutor would be:
* Confident in working with young people on a 1-2-1 basis.
* Experienced in creating their own resources and lesson plans, so that these can be tailored to the individual needs of each student you work with
* Confident working with additional SEN and/ or SEMH needs and being able to tailor sessions to these.
Requirements:
* UK recognised QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is desirable or at least a minimum of 2 years previous experience.
* Valid DBS (A Child Workforce certificate that is accessible through the Update Service) is beneficial or willingness to obtain one.
* Eligible to work in the UK (right to work in the UK documentation)
* Strong previous experience in teaching or tutoring maths to the National Curriculum.
* Enthusiasm for education and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on young learners.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
