Oldham Urgent and Emergency care by appointment is recruiting for a Senior Mental Health Practitioner. UECA (urgent and emergency care by appointment) offers urgent appointments (within 72hrs) to service users who require a prompt response, following attendance at A&E, contact with the Joint Response Vehicle, contact with the Pennine Care 24hr Help-Line their GP and NWAS. The purpose of the UECA service is to ensure people receive the right care and treatment in the right place, at the right time. The service aims to alleviate pressure on A&E departments by diverting those service users whose clinical presentation does not require an immediate assessment within the A&E system, but there is an identified clinical needfor an urgent assessment. Main duties of the job The post holder will ensure all service users have access to a comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment to meet their individual needs, including making any necessary onward referrals. You will provide a high standard of clinical assessment ensuring that there is a collaborative agreed plan made with every patient assessed and that this is articulated to the patient's GP and any other relevant service/team. The service operates 8am-8pm, 7 days a week and posts will be on rotational shift basis.
