About the Role:
In this role, you’ll take the lead in shaping our social media presence across platforms, with a focus on LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. You’ll manage our content strategies for B2C (students) and B2B (employers), crafting and curating engaging content tailored to these audiences. You’ll be the bridge between our brand and our online community, ensuring every interaction reflects our voice and values.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and execute platform-specific social media strategies for LinkedIn, Meta, TikTok, YouTube and other channels as needed to increase followers/subscribers and drive engagement with our target audience(s).
2. Craft compelling, interactive content tailored to our different audiences using a variety of formats, from static and animated images to carousels and short-form videos (reels/shorts/stories).
3. Write engaging captions, posts and updates using impeccable English grammar and appropriate tone of voice for each audience.
4. Engage with our community, respond to comments and messages, escalate queries and build meaningful relationships with followers and in the industry.
5. Collaborate with influencers, ambassadors, and students to develop user-generated content (UGC).
6. Manage the social media calendar with clearly tagged content by audience, platform and campaign.
7. Plan and schedule posts using tools like Agorapulse or Hootsuite, optimising posts for peak performance.
8. Monitor performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations to refine strategies and improve results.
9. Stay up to date with social media trends, platform updates, and best practices to keep our content fresh and innovative.
10. Work independently but with guidance and support from a friendly and collaborative team.
11. Liaise with internal teams and external partners to align our social media campaigns with our broader business goals.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
2. At least 3+ years of experience managing social media accounts for an organisation.
3. Proven experience with Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook, and a strong portfolio showcasing short-form video, design, and copywriting work.
4. Excellent grasp of English grammar, with the ability to adapt tone and style to different audiences with ease.
5. Experience with design tools (like Canva or Adobe Suite), and video editing tools (like CapCut or Adobe Premiere).
6. Familiarity with scheduling tools (eg Agorapulse or Hootsuite).
7. Strong conceptual and creative skills – we love being innovative!
8. A sharp eye for detail and proofreading skills.
9. Excellent communication skills, confidence, and a friendly, collaborative attitude.
10. Top-notch organisational skills (you like a project plan), with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
11. An analytical mindset with a solid understanding of social media KPIs and performance tracking.
12. Passion for social media, video, and connecting with audiences, and you’re eager to stay ahead of industry trends.
Nice to Have:
1. Experience creating content for both a B2B and B2C audience.
2. Experience with marketing platforms (like HubSpot or Marketo).
3. Familiarity with Google Analytics although not necessary!
