This full-time/part-time permanent role includes clinics, ward rounds, and all administrative tasks, along with an on-call schedule. The position offers a permanent contract with an immediate start date. Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities will include a mix of clinical, administrative, and teaching responsibilities. Clinical duties involve outpatient clinics, inpatient ward rounds, and participation in multi-disciplinary team meetings. Teaching responsibilities may include supervision of junior doctors, medical students, and other healthcare professionals. The working pattern can vary based on individual preferences and service requirements, with some consultants working full-time (10 sessions per week) and others choosing part-time arrangements. An example of a full-time 10-session schedule includes outpatient clinics, inpatient ward rounds, multi-disciplinary team meetings, administrative tasks, teaching, and special interest sessions. Requirements: • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification. • Full Registration and a licence to practise with the General Medical Council. • MRCP Part 1 and Part 2. • Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining UK CCT in Haematology. • Meets the criteria set out in the Specialist generic capabilities framework. • Entry on GMC Specialist Register; eligible for entry on Register or within six months of receipt of Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR) at the time of interview.
