This is a busy role - the turnover of equipment in our warehouse is high volume, day-to-day you will be managing a team of dedicated and knowledgeable staff, supporting them through all stages of our warehouse processes, ensuring that we deliver impeccable equipment standards to our rental customers. Your area of management will also include client relations, training, building maintenance, procurement, H&S and HR, quality audits, and repairs.
About the role :
General management / warehouse
* Oversee all the daily warehouse activities, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, productivity, and customer service schedules.
* Manage our entire warehouse team including recruitment, training, and development.
* Ensure all stock and products are accounted for, stored safely and securely, and tracked.
* Maintain quality control throughout all ranges of equipment, ensure our equipment is presentable, well maintained and tested.
* Ensure new equipment is barcoded and logged into our rental software.
* Coordinate warehouse activities with all stakeholders - liaise with production managers, operation managers, logistics manager and clients.
* Develop warehouse processes, improve equipment-related systems and processes.
* Review and improve workflows, staffing requirements, space allocations to increase productivity, quality, and customer service.
* Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures.
* Working with logistics to ensure that deliveries are loaded in time and in the right order for delivery routes.
What we are looking for:
* At least 5 years in a management position.
* Strong technical skills and experience with event technology.
* In-depth knowledge of rental management software.
* In-depth knowledge of event technology.
* Proven track record of managing teams.
* A driving licence and first aid qualification would be advantageous.
What we offer:
* Yearly salary c. £50,000 + overtime
* Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30
