As their retained recruitment partner, Iconic Resourcing is supporting Union Technical in the search for a passionate and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join their team and contribute to their mission of revolutionising energy-efficient home solutions.
As Health & Safety Manager, you will be an integral part of the IMS team, working alongside the Head of Business Development, Health and Safety Manager & Sustainability Manager. You will work to prevent accidents, injuries and work related illness. You will ensure all risk assessments and method statements are in place for the required areas and that the organisations legal obligations are met. The Health and Safety manager will work face to face with clients, visiting sites to carry out risk assessments & inspections. You will be a people person who is confident in liaising with external bodies such as supplies, customers and enforcement agencies.
We are looking for the following:
* Proven experience in a health and safety role, ideally within the energy sector, construction or a similar industry.
* NEBOSH/IOSH Diploma or equivalent health and safety qualification.
* Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and industry-specific regulations.
* Have knowledge of or experience of working in an ISO45001 environment
* Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver training programmes.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
* Proficient in compiling risk assessments and method statements (RAMS)
* experience of H&S inspections and incident/accident investigations.
* Ability to influence and promote a culture of safety across all levels of the organisation.
