About the Role :
At Next we have a fantastic opportunity for a Nursery Supervisor to join our onsite Nursery facility, you’ll help provide high quality care and engaging learning experiences for the children under your supervision. As part of this you’ll be a champion for best practice, planning learning opportunities that ensure children have the chance to develop to their full potential. We can offer a great work life balance with a 40 hour working week plus time out of the children's room to give your full attention to essential paperwork and development of your room.
You will:
1. Provide a high quality of care and engage with children to create different learning experiences and skills
2. Champion best practice in all learning including putting together day plans and encouraging children to reach their full potential
3. Create a safe and stimulating environment for indoor and outdoor learning by using your understanding of safeguarding policies and local authority procedures
4. Actively promote partnerships with parents and other carers to ensure the individual needs of children are being met
5. Take an active role in development, participating in training and supporting colleagues through sharing advice and expertise
6. Take part in practice reviews to ensure policies are being followed and the highest levels of service are being delivered
About you:
7. Experience in a similar role and specifically experience in an Early Years Care Environment
8. Minimum of a NVQ Level 3 or equivalent with a strong understanding of the EYFS
9. Extensive knowledge of all statutory and non-statutory requirements for a childcare environment and remain up to date with any changes to educational policies and practices
10. An engaging and supporting leader who can help staff develop their skills while setting benchmarks for excellent Early Years practice.
11. Excellent communicator, able to inspire trust and confidence in parents, children and colleagues
