Academic/Professional Qualification/Training
Essential Criteria
1. Level 5 Diploma of Higher Education Level /Foundation Degree programme in health care or equivalent.
2. Good Clinical Practice certification (GCP).
3. Evidence of Assistant Practitioner or equivalent competencies through national occupational standards and/or work-based learning.
4. Evidence of continuing professional development.
Experience/Knowledge
Essential Criteria
1. Experience of working on multiple parallel tasks to strict and often tight deadlines.
Desirable Criteria
1. Experience of working within the NHS (i.e., Health care assistant/Research Coordinator).
2. Experience of working in a clinical trial environment in either a pharmaceutical company, NHS Trust, or a university.
3. Experience of multidisciplinary working, both internally and externally.
4. Knowledge of and/or experience of database systems and managing complex information.
5. Previous experience of research and/or audit.
6. Experience of having worked with children and/or young people.
7. Basic understanding of the principles of clinical and research governance and Good Clinical Practice.

3. Able to height/length and weigh a child of any age accurately.
4. Ability to assist in the training of other staff.
