The role of Project Manager holds significant importance within our organisation, with primary responsibilities including the oversight of projects from their inception to their successful completion.
Throughout the project management process, key areas of focus will include the management of safety, commercial and reputation risks, and project financial performance. This role involves close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders to optimise the utilisation of project resources, uphold technical standards, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure quality assurance. The primary objective is to achieve the safe and successful conclusion of projects. The Project Manager serves as a champion for all aspects of safety, quality, and technical excellence in project delivery, actively promoting Film-Ocean's services to both existing and potential clients, aiming to expand sales and revenue opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
* Management of assigned projects from contract award through to completion
* Engage and support (where required) other members of the project team
* Collaborating with clients during project start-ups, operational phases, and post-operational periods to identify client requirements and present Film-Ocean's ROV capabilities
* Facilitating communication between clients and Film-Ocean's technical team regarding project design and engineering development, offering technical input and participating in peer reviews for live projects
* Assisting with invitations to tender for ROV operations, client presentations, and offering technical support to the commercial development team and senior management
* Ensuring the effective management of third-party vendors and subcontractors involved in the project, with accurate cost tracking
* Manage costs and margins for all assigned projects, ensure compliance with project commercials while maximising revenue
* Prepare equipment documentation to meet project requirements including pre-mobilisation QA/QC audits during project execution
* Providing proactive HSE leadership, reporting incidents, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring the adherence to safety and quality policies and procedures at offshore work locations
* Collaborating closely with the crewing team to identify and allocate offshore crew to meet client requirements
* Ensure project resources are correctly allocated to provide clients with a best-in-class service
* Oversee offshore personnel reporting requirements
* Support with offshore personnel appraisals, competencies and personal development
* Conducting comprehensive project briefings to aid in the allocation of project crew, highlighting client requirements and offshore personnel responsibilities, and attending project mobilization and demobilizations as necessary
* Maintaining regular communication with offshore personnel in conjunction with the crewing team to enhance communications and build relationships.
* Managing man-days tracking and project spreadsheets to ensure accuracy for invoicing purposes, and assisting in invoice preparation as needed.
* Managing all project deliverables, including financial reporting that shows margins and cost analysis across relevant contracts
* Collaborating on equipment procurement, engineering, mobilization, operations, analysis, and client reporting
* Coordinating maintenance requirements, monitoring and addressing spares and stores needs for projects
* Developing project procedures as required, conducting ongoing reviews of all technical and support documentation, and assisting in the generation of work scopes and method statements
* Occasional site visits for ROV works
* Participation in an on-call rotation
* Undertaking any other duties as required by the Company.
QHSE Responsibilities
* Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by what you do, or not do
* Co-operate with your employer on health and safety matters
* Utilise provided recycling facilities
* Clean up and report any spills
* Correctly use work items provided by your employer, including PPE in accordance with training and instructions
* Not to interfere with, or misuse anything provided for your health and safety, or welfare
* Report all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality concerns to the HSEQ Manager
* Work to Film-Ocean HSEQ processes and procedures and inform the HSEQ Manager of any omissions or changes required
* Ensure that safety policies and procedures are implemented, understood and adhered to at the work location, so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment
* Promote a proactive commitment to Film-Ocean’s HSEQ initiatives.
Qualifications
* Between 5 and 10 years operational, technical or project management experience within the ROV industry
* Degree qualified, or recognised engineering or technical qualification
* Familiar with established management tools, project and planning techniques
* Exhibit a strong understanding of commercial and contractual acumen
* Safety training general awareness
* Possess a general awareness of environmental training.
* Have a general awareness of safety training.
