Job Responsibility:
We are seeking to appoint a Data and MIS Manager to join the Hanley and Upton Educational Trust (HUET) from the 2nd September 2024. The postholder will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to lead on the implementation, development, maintenance, and operation of our Trust's new cloud-based MIS system and integrated services. This role involves managing key infrastructure areas such as assessment, reporting, pupil tracking, target setting, results analysis, and data management across Hanley Castle High School, while also supporting primary school leaders within the HUET. Additionally, this role includes training staff on data and system usage, ensuring compliance with DfE guidance and regulations, and processing census and other returns to the DfE and LA.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience managing data within an organisation and developing and implementing administrative procedures and systems, as well as experience working in a busy, proactive data function, preferably in a school or similar environment, and in-depth experience with Management Information Systems (MIS). Proficiency in Microsoft Office, excellent numeracy and literacy skills, strong word processing and spreadsheet abilities, and an analytical approach to problem-solving are essential. The candidate should be a good team player with excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and exceptional organisational and time management abilities. Resilience, optimism, high integrity, confidence, and self-motivation are also required.
Hours: 37 hours per week, (term time only, plus 18 days - this includes 8 Professional Development Days and 10 days which will include examinations results days in mid-late August)
Salary: PO1 SCP28-31, £36,648 - £39,186 FTE. Pro-rated to £33,096 - £35,388 (NJC pay-award pending). Salary and hours may be negotiable for an exceptional candidate.
