Job summary We are recruiting for Trust Grade Registrar to join the Trauma & Orthopaedic department on a fixed term basis for 6 months with a view to extend to 12 months. There are multiple posts available to start as soon as possible. Main duties of the job These are excellent opportunities for someone looking to gain more orthopaedic experience before applying for National ST selection in Trauma and Orthopaedics. By the end of the year we would expect you to independently perform hip hemiarthroplasty, DHS, gamma nail of femur, ankle fixation, external fixation of tibia, MUA of common paediatric fractures, K wiring of wrists etc. Depending on the allocation of your firms you will also gain experience of a variety of elective orthopaedic procedures.
