About the role Key details: Working week: Monday to Friday, 36 hrs per week, exact working times tbc (Term-Time only) Wage: £6.40 per hour Location: Hyde Park Road, Southsea, Hampshire, PO5 4HL Apprenticeship Standard: Level 3 School Administrator Duration: 16 months Overview of the role: We are looking for a motivated individual to efficiently assist in the administration support across the whole school whilst also undertaking the level 3 business administration apprenticeship. Key responsibilities: Reception cover for 2 hours a day, answering phone calls, taking messages and connecting calls to other departments Undertake administrative tasks, such as photocopying, fax transmissions, processing mail, maintaining filing systems, archives and resource libraries and updating information Use of Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint and Forms Produce correspondence and reports from written documents Learn to accurately input data into computerised systems, databases and spreadsheets and process and retrieve data as necessary Liaise with staff, clients, and other agencies, to share information where appropriate, ensuring that academy procedures are properly followed Minute, produce and distribute accurate records of meetings Assist with the administration of financial processes, including collection and distributions of monies and banking, processing invoices, arranging countersignature and payments Order and maintain stocks of relevant stationery and forms, with the agreement of the Business Manager Learn to provide support to individual managers as required, including diary management, travel planning, arranging and supporting events and arranging and servicing meetings. Learn to contribute to the organisation of an event Learn how to develop a presentation Learn how to answer and resolve an issue for staff, students or other stakeholders Learn data protection regulation and contribute to processing procedures within the academy Build and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders Apprenticeship Summary: You will work towards your Level 3 School Administrator qualification across a total duration of 16 months Training provider: LMP Group: https://lmp-group.co.uk/ All online/remote learning, no classroom or college day release An allocated tutor will support you throughout the apprenticeship About the Candidate Candidates MUST be 18 for this post Skills & Personal Qualities Required: Excellent Word processing skills Ability to effectively organise own workload Ability to accurately input and check data Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to check for accuracy and give attention to detail. Ability to work well in a team. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (in particular Outlook, Word and Excel) Ability to use own initiative Qualifications Required: GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 4) essential GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 4) essential Apprenticeship Overview This course is delivered through Articulate Rise, this flexible School Administration training programme features 11 expertly designed modules, covering vital topics such as project management, planning/organisation and presentation skills. The role may involve working independently or as part of a team and will involve developing, implementing, maintaining and improving administrative services. Business administrators develop key skills and behaviours to support their own progression towards management responsibilities. Milestone 1. The Organisation - (Aims, Values, Policy) Milestone 2.
