Job Title: Infrastructure Support Analyst Contract Type: Permanent Grade: A4 Location: Alderley Edge Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based (Shift Based) Closing date: Tuesday 4th February 2025 We have an exciting role at Royal London to work, as part of a dedicated shift team within the larger Technical Operations Team. Providing a release implementation function, maintenance activity and DR support, event management, batch management, along with adhering to incident, change and problem management processes. This includes monitoring and controlling workflow, as required or assigned to ensure that defined SLAs are met, and that the business and its customers are supported on a 247x7x365 rostered basis. About the role Batch Monitoring and Management - To participate in the preparation of that day’s scheduling requirements including all ad hoc requests & ensure that all schedules are completed accurately & within the required timescales. Release Management - To ensure release implementation activities are completed in line with agreed processes and schedules. As well as Event Monitoring and Management – To monitor infrastructure and service activity & take any remedial action required to resolve any issues. To contribute towards the enhancement of services through innovation and identifying opportunities for service improvement. As well as ensure that incident, problem and change management activities are completed in line with agreed processes and SLAs. Business continuity - To support managed Disaster Recovery tests & develop and maintain procedures to ensure that systems can be recovered in the event of a disaster. To undertake Infrastructure maintenance activities in line with agreed processes and schedules. As well as support projects – e.g., work with IT Project managers to implement change, reviewing project plans to ensure that changes are both managed and supportable To provide a 1st \ 2nd line out of hours support function and complete daily shift handovers and ensure the shift diary is maintained and accurate. About you A good technical working knowledge of SQL, Wintel, Messaging, Patching and Operations would be highly beneficial. Infrastructure support experience / exposure at a second line support level. Working knowledge of application/incident management tooling and processes. Ability to work on own initiative, address and resolve problems in a pressurised environment. Excellent organisational skills, able to take a methodical approach to problem solving. Contributes to, supports and works well within the team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills able to work under pressure.
