A new, exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to join our team as Service Manager in the Community & Rehabilitation Care Group. This is a very good opportunity for someone who seeks to make a positive difference to our patient care and pathways, patient outcomes, people (staff) and operational performance.
The post holder will support the delivery of daily operations and business, cost improvement plans and activity delivery within the Care Group and operationally manage Care Group Strategic Projects which include patient flow, Frailty pathways & SDEC, Community EPR implementation and outpatients. You can state if you wish to be considered for either or both roles. You will be reporting directly to a General Manager but also supported by the Director of Operations and Care Group Triumvirate.
Main duties of the job
The role supports the day to day efficient and effective production and management of the defined performance areas, reporting to a General Manager and is accountable to the Director(s) of Operations.
Works closely with clinical and operational teams within the defined service areas to respond to performance issues on a day-to-day basis, and ensure issues are swiftly resolved. Facilitate effective communication between and across services areas. Facilitate or lead new initiatives and transformational programmes. Support performance improvement alongside safe and effective care to patients. The Service Manager will have line manager responsibilities for the administration teams as agreed by SDU leads.

2. EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING

* Recognised leadership and/or management qualification or equivalent
* Education and training to degree level or equivalent

* Experience of Service Delivery and performance, including a track record of:
* Contributing to improvements in service standards and patient experience
* Monitoring compliance with local and national performance and quality targets
* Experience of managing administrative and support staff

* Experience of working with patients and the public to develop and improve services
