Role: Functional Skills Tutor Contract: Full time, permanent Salary: £90 - £110 per day Are you passionate about supporting young people and making a meaningful difference in their lives? We are seeking a functional skills tutor to work for a fantastic provision we support, dedicated to helping young people with disabilities achieve their goals in work-related activities. Your primary focus will be in supporting the development of English and Maths skills (entry level to level 2). What we’re looking for: Must have experience in tutoring or teaching students A minimum Level 4 qualification is required Strong relationship building skills and creative approach to teaching is essential Knowledge of Ofsted standards is important Experience with students with special educational needs would be highly advantageous but is not essential Please note that this role may involve travelling between bases, so a valid drivers licence and access to your own vehicle is essential. Key responsibilities: As a functional skills tutor, your role will involve supporting students in their journey toward employment, volunteering and further education by: Delivering sessions on Maths, English, life skills and employability Collaborating with the team to deliver college programmes Assessing the needs of current and prospective students Teaching in small groups or on a one-to-one basis Identifying learning and training opportunities Maintaining accurate records and reporting on student progress If you are dedicated to empowering young people and ready to take on a rewarding role, we would love to hear from you Working with Long-term Teachers: We are an independent agency working with Nurseries, Primary, Secondary and Special Schools.
